Tête-à-Tête:

An Encounter on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella

The exhibition treated curation itself as an artistic practice, transforming the act of organising and presenting works into a creative, expressive medium. Inspired by a surrealist phrase, the project facilitated encounters between paintings, sculpture, jewellery, poetry, and sound, allowing the works to generate dialogue organically rather than following a pre-imposed narrative. Each gallery space became a carefully designed chapter, with custom plinths, display structures, and spatial choreography shaping rhythm, tension, and perspective.

Audiences were invited to move through the exhibition as co-authors, forming personal narratives as they experienced the interactions between works. By engaging with the environment in this participatory way, visitors discovered shifting relationships, responded to context and timing, and explored meaning in a dynamic, evolving way.

The exhibition also included workshops, online talks, and lectures on contemporary curatorial practice, inviting audiences to reflect on how narrative, space, and design can transform the role of the curator in the 21st century.

By integrating spatial design, storytelling, and participatory engagement, the project demonstrated how curation can become an art form itself—creating a living, evolving environment where audience, artworks, and space interact to generate new experiences and meaning.
